Dogs, Demons and Knights to have Friday scrimmages

NORTH CENTRAL HEAD COACH Louis Clyburn and the Knights will kick off their scrimmage season on Friday morning when Lamar comes to Boonetown for a 9:30 a.m. start.
All three Kershaw County high school varsity football teams began preseason practice last Friday and will continue working out against only their teammates throughout the first part of this week.Things will change on Friday when Camden, Lugoff-Elgin and North Central kick off their series of scrimmages.Camden and North Central will take to the field on Friday morning with Lugoff-Elgin having a scrimmage that evening. Camden will head to South Carolina State University in Orangeburg to meet Fort Dorchester at 9 a.m. At 9:30 a.m. on Friday, North Central will host Lamar in a two-team scrimmage in Boonetown. Laater that day, Cheraw --- which opens the season at Camden on Aug. 23 --- will head to Lugoff-Elgin for a 6 p.m. start.
