It was not as easy as a coin flip but, Camden head baseball coach Denny Beckley and his staff had a decision to make as to whom to send to the mound to start last Thursday’s AAA District III winners’ bracket game against visiting Walhalla. With a choice between a pair of lefties --- junior Holden Bunch and sophomore Sam Ferguson ---, when the Bulldog boss was informed by Bunch that morning that back spasms would take him out of the equation and, from the lineup, Ferguson was the next man up. It was a right-hander, however, Bennett Caldwell, who came up big on the mound and at the plate in helping lead the Dogs into Monday’s district finals with another come-from-behind, 4-3 win over the Razorbacks at American Legion Park.
