Dogs split games in Chesterfield tournament

TRAJON PATE led Camden in scoring in its first two games of the Chesterfield Basketball Classic.
Camden rebounded from an opening day setback against Union County to upend tournament host Chesterfield on Thursday in the second round of the three-day Chesterfield High School Basketball Classic. After the two-game split, Ron McKie’s charges took an 8-4 record into Friday’s fifth place pairing with Region 4-AAA colleague Indian Land. The Bulldogs stopped Cheterfield, 50-35, behind 12 points from junior forward Trajon Pate.
