MANNING -- Kershaw County Post 17 continued its winning ways on Thursday, defeating Manning-Santee 9-5 at the Manning High School baseball field to move to a 3-0 start on the young American Legion season. The 17ers’ Stephen Boneparte scored in four of his six plate appearances and the visitors took advantage of some early control issues by Manning-Santee starting pitcher Corey Brown, who labored through four innings of work. "Our pitchers didn’t throw strikes," said Post 68 head coach G.G. Cutter.
