It’s cold and flu season for horses, too. What in human terms may best be described as a cold and/or sinus infection, has taken Colonial Cup pre-race favorite Black Jack Blues out of Saturday’s $100,000 feature steeplechase. Winner of his only two starts in this country, including the $250,000 Grand National last month, the recent import was scratched from the final Grade I chase of the National Steeplechase Association season on Wednesday.
