In a tale of “anything you can do I can (almost) do better”, Brunello could not be upstaged by his rider, Liza Boyd of Camden. After having been named recipient of the Emerson Burr Trophy for a third straight year in 2015, Boyd learned that Brunello was named as the 2015 National Horse of the Year. The awards were presented on Friday, Jan. 15 at the 2015 United States Equestrian Federation’s annual Pegasus Awards held in Lexington, Ky.
