If you want to stay with the big boys, you are going to have to pay like the big boys. After having kept its purse at $100,000 since 2009 while most Grade I steeplechase events raised theirs to $150,000 or better, the Marion duPont Scott Colonial Cup Steeplechase bumped their payout for the Camden fall classic by $50,000 to keep itself in the top tier of jump races in this country. The 47th running of the Marion duPont Scott Colonial Cup Steeplechase Races will be contested over the historic Springdale Race Course in Camden on Saturday, Nov. 19.
