Colonial Cup tickets, parking spaces on sale
THE ECLIPSE AWARD for steeplechasing as well as other end-of-the-year championships will once again be on the line at the Marion duPont Scott Colonial Cup steeplechase races in Camden next month.
Last year’s reserved space holders have until Friday, Oct. 12, in order to secure their same space(s) for this year’s Marion duPont Scott Colonial Cup Steeplechase Races.The 43rd running of the Camden fall classic is set for Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Springdale Race Course in Camden. The first of the six races will take the starters’ flag at 12:30 p.m.The afternoon of racing, featuring the $100,000 Colonial Cup (Gr. I), brings the curtain down on the 2012 National Steeplechase Association season and will likely be the deciding race in the chase for American steeplechasing’s Eclipse Award.The gates to the Springdale Race Course will swing open to the general public at 9 a.m. with the Salute to the Military kicking off at 11 a.m.Once again, the Colonial Cup is giving away 3,000 complimentary general admission tickets and 500 complimentary parking passes to members of the military (active and/or retired) and their families.
