Cup spaces, tickets still on sale

With Saturday’s 80th running of the Carolina Cup Steeplechase Races just four days away, last-minute shoppers have been gobbling up the remaining reserved parking spaces for the Camden spring classic, leaving few spots remaining inside the Springdale Race Course.The gates to the Springdale Race Course will open to the general public at 9 a.m. on Saturday with the first of six races set to take to the course at 1:30 p.m. The day’s feature, the $50,000 Carolina First Carolina Cup Steeplechase (Grade III), will be run as the fifth race.All parking slots in College Park are completely sold out. Carolina Cup officials said there are few reserved parking spaces in all areas with a select few grandstand boxes still available.Here are the ticket and reserved parking options for the Carolina Cup races (all spaces include two general admission race tickets, unless specified otherwise.) There is no charge for general admission parking inside the Springdale Race Course: General Admission tickets: $45. (Note: Children ages 11 and under will be admitted to the races free of charge, if accompanied by an adult ticket-holder.)Infield: $215 per parking space. South and West Rail(s): $215 per parking space.
