Three horses with Camden connections running on racing's biggest weekend

Three horses with Camden connections will take to the famed course at Churchill Downs for this weekend’s Breeders’ Cup World Championships which will be run on Friday and Saturday in Louisville. In Friday evening’s feature, the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Ladies Classic (7:30 p.m. post time; ESPN2), Plum Pretty will return to the scene of her breakthrough victory in the $1 million Kentucky Oaks on May 6. Owned by Camden resident John Fort’s Peachtree Stable, the 3-year-old Pennsylvania-bred filly was developed in Camden at Kip Elser’s Kirkwood Stables.
