Gio Ponti tracked down Get Stormy in deep stretch to win his second consecutive $600,000 Shadwell Turf Mile on Saturday afternoon at Keeneland. Get Stormy was developed in Camden at Donna Freyer’s Custom Care Equine. Gio Ponti completed the one-mile turf race in a time of 1:34.17, the second fastest run in the 26-year history of the race, trailing only Altibr’s 1:33.60 in 2000.
