J.B.'s thunder first made noise as a baby in Camden

When he first saw J.B’s Thunder enter into the Keeneland Sales Ring as a yearling in 2009, Camden native and Thoroughbred trainer Frank Wooten liked the way the horse walked and seemed to handle himself with a crowd of prospective buyers watching his every move. After seeing his baby, which he and his wife Daphne pin hooked in Camden after they brought him back from the September sale, run in taking the Grade I Dixiana Breeders’ Futurity at the Keeneland Race Course last month, the Wootens liked their former trainee even better. So, too, did the horse’s trainer, Al Stall.
