SOUTH OZONE PARK, N.Y. -- Shadwell Stable’s regally bred Mohaymen kept his undefeated record intact with an confident 1 ½-length victory in Saturday’s Grade 2, $300,000 Remsen at Aqueduct Racetrack stamping himself as an early Kentucky Derby contender and taking home 10 points towards a spot in the starting gate on the first Saturday in May. Mohaymen was developed at Shadwell Stable, under the guidance of head trainer Kevin Kahkola, on the grounds of the Camden Training Center. Under the guidance of his regular jockey, Junior Alvarado, Mohaymen tracked the early pace from his inside position, keeping within a few lengths of Donegal Moon, who led the field of 2-year-olds through an opening quarter-mile in 24.35 seconds and half in 49.16.
