When officials with the National Steeplechase Association and the Colonial Cup decided to add an additional race to Saturday’s 44th annual Marion duPont Scott Colonial Cup race card, few would have known the difference it would make to, at least, one person. The final chase of the NSA season, a $30,000-added allowance hurdle sweepstakes, was won by The Fields Stable’s Kingdom, ridden by Paddy Young. The victory was the circuit-best 16th of the year for the native of Ireland who beat out fellow countryman Daren Nagle for the NSA title. They entered Camden with 15 wins each.
