THE COLONIAL CUP WILL close out the 2012 National Steeplechase Association season when the countrys top jumpers and jockeys return to the Springdale Race Course in Camden with end of season honors hanging in the balance.
Invitations have been sent to last year’s space holders to renew their space(s) for the Colonial Cup Steeplechase Races.The 43rd running of the Camden fall classic is set for Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Springdale Race Course in Camden. The first of the six races will take the starters’ flag at 12:30 p.m.The afternoon of racing, featuring the $100,000 Colonial Cup (Gr. I), brings the curtain down on the 2012 National Steeplechase Association season and will likely be the deciding race in the chase for American steeplechasing’s Eclipse Award.The gates to the Springdale Race Course will swing open to the general public at 9 a.m. with the special Salute to the Military program kicking off at 11 a.m. in the skies and in front of the grandstand.
