One of the major changes associated with Saturday’s 46th annual Marion duPont Scott International Colonial Cup Steeplechase Races has turned out to be a smash hit. The day of racing, featuring the $100,000 Colonial Cup, will be run on Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Springdale Race Course in Camden. The first race will meet the starter’s flag at 12:30 p.m. The gates to the course will swing open to the general public at 9 a.m. Within a few weeks of the announcement of the new Audi of Columbia Turf Club, a tent in which 200 grandstand box patrons were charged $150 per person which, in addition to their grandstand seat, allowed them access to VIP parking, private executive washrooms, an open bar, an elegant buffet luncheon presented by Aberdeen Catery and private tables, was sold out.
