It was a big week at Saratoga for horses which were developed in Camden at Frank Wooten stables.Last Friday, Columbine Stable’s Magical Moon, a 2-year-old Malibu Moon filly, romped to a 10 ¼-length victory at the Spa in an $80,000, 5 ½-furlong maiden special weight race on the turf course for trainer Al Stall Jr. Rosie Napravnik was aboard for the winning ride.Magical Moon took the lead at the top of the stretch and kicked off to an easy win. The winning time was 1:02.14.Later that same day, Ampersand, a 3-year-old colt owned by Ralph Evans, beat Gimme Credit by a neck in a $69,000 1 1/16-mile race on the turf course.Trained by Richard Violette and ridden by Alan Garcia, Ampersand was last of eight horses after the first three-quarters of a mile before moving to fourth at the top of the stretch. He passed three horses to take the lead at the 1/16th pole and held on for the victory.
