Kentucky in October has been good to Frank and Daphne Wooten of Frank Wooten Stables in Camden. On Sunday, the opening day of the fall meet at Churchill Downs in Louisville, the Wooten-developed Motor City got past another Wooten graduate and former stablemate, Seven Deadly Sins, to win the $110,700 Iroquois Stakes for 2-year-olds. Jockey Calvin Borel took Motor City along the rail and got past Seven Deadly Sins and Julien Leparoux for the three-quarters of a length victory in the one-mile race which was run over the main dirt track.
