During Tuesday’s practice, North Central ace Abby Outlaw suffered on contusion on her leg which left her playing status for Wednesday’s non-region softball game with Camden in doubt. Instead, the Lady Knights right-hander left CHS feeling her pain as she came in to work 3.2 innings of scoreless relief and, backed by a five-run bottom of the sixth, left as the winning pitcher in NC’s 7-6 victory over the Lady Bulldogs. It marked the second late-inning, come from behind triumph for Mike Grigsby’s team over an equally young Camden squad.
