Brother and sister Evrik and Sharneece Gary of Camden enjoyed strong 2013-14 basketball seasons which became even more memorable for the pair after last week.Sharneece Gary, a senior at Camden High, has been selected to play in the 66th annual North-South All-Star Basketball Games to be played on Saturday, March 22 at Lexington High School.Gary, a 5-foot-4 guard, led Natalie Jeffcoat’s Lady Bulldogs in scoring as she averaged 13.5 points per game. The three-year starter was deadly from beyond the 3-point arc, draining a team-best 63 from distance this past season.Gary, who will play for the North All-Stars on Saturday, dished out 2.4 assists per game while having more than two steals per contest.The North-South All-Star doubleheader tips off at 3 p.m. with the girls’ game followed by the boys’ contest at 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for high school students and younger and will only be sold at the door on Saturday. The doors will open at 2 p.m.Evrik Gary, a Francis Marion University graduate student, has been named to the 2014 Daktronics All-Southeast Region basketball team.
