Few punches his ticket into Carolinas Amateur championship

Former Lugoff-Elgin High School golf standout Bobby Few punched his ticket into the 99th Carolinas Amateur Championship that will be played July 11-14 at The Ocean Course in Kiawah Island by winning Monday’s sectional qualifier.Few, a Lugoff resident and a member of the USC-Lancaster golf team, carded a 3-under par 69 over the 6,474-yard, par 72 Lake Marion Golf Club in Santee on Monday. Few had a 34 on the front side and came back with a 35 on the back nine to tie Jarrett Swan of Mount Pleasant atop the final leader board. Tyler Zoller of Summerville claimed the third and final qualifying slot with a 2-under 70.This event was a dual qualifier that was conducted by the South Carolina Golf Association on behalf of the Carolinas Golf Association.
