Tar Heel duo wins CGA Four-Ball

Matthew Crenshaw of Burlington, N.C., and Jonathan Jackson of Chapel Hill, N.C., needed 20 holes in Sunday’s championship match to defeat defending champions, Paul Tucker of Waxhaw, N.C., and Brent Roof of Columbia and win the 63rd Four-Ball Championship of the Carolinas Golf Association played over the Camden Country Club.Crenshaw holed a 12-foot birdie putt on the 20th hole to win his second Carolinas Four-Ball title and sixth overall CGA crown. Crenshaw partnered, this year, with college teammate at UNC-Chapel Hill Jonathan Jackson, who took home his first CGA title. “We have been wanting to play in a four-ball together since we were in college at (North) Carolina,” said Crenshaw.
