For the first time since the days of the old Happy Jack Classic in the early 1990s, E. Clarkson Rhame City Arena in Camden will play host to an in-season high school basketball tournament. The inaugural Mid-Carolina Credit Union Holiday Classic -- Kershaw County’s Basketball Tournament -- will be played at the newly renovated South Broad Street facility with four games on tap for Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 21 and 22. The two-day event will feature the boys and girls basketball teams from Camden, Lugoff-Elgin and North Central high schools along with Robert E. Lee Academy from Bishopville.
