Foxhounds once again will take over Springdale Race Course on Saturday, May 7, when the annual Carolinas’ Hound Show returns.

Hosted by the Camden Hunt, hounds from a dozen different fox hunts located in North and South Carolina and Virginia will attend this bench show competition.

Breeds include American, English, Crossbred, and Penn-Marydell hounds.  Each breed is judged separately on conformation according to breed standards.

There will be classes for hounds shown by juniors and also pack classes with hounds shown by their huntsman in the field, as well as a pack class for junior handlers.

The show begins at 9 a.m. by the grandstand.  Guests and competitors should enter the race track through the gate on Knights Hill Road.  There is no admission charge.
