Jr. 17ers fall, 2-1; Seniors rained out

Wade Burr was the tough-luck losing pitcher as the Kershaw County Post 17 Junior American Legion baseball team dropped a 2-1 decision against South Florence last Friday night in a game played at American Legion Park in Camden.Burr, a rising junior at Lugoff-Elgin High School, went six innings, giving up both South Florence runs on just one hit. Vic Cooper earned the mound win for the guests as he threw a complete game five-hitter at Erik Densmore’s squad.Kershaw County’s offense was led by newcomer Nathan Lee, who recently moved to Lugoff from Georgia. Lee went 2-for-3 on the night.
