Junior P-17ers fall; Seniors rained out

The Kershaw County Post 17 Junior American Legion team traveled to South Florence on Tuesday and dropped an 11-5 decision to the hosts.Elliott Campbell, a rising freshman at Lugoff-Elgin High School, suffered the mound loss for Erik Densmore’s troops.The Juniors were scheduled to have played a Thursday doubleheader with Turbeville before South Florence is slated to come to American Legion Park in Camden tonight for a 7 p.m. start.Seniors washed out in Hartsville: The KC Post 17 Senior American Legion team’s scheduled game at Hartsville on Wednesday was postponed due to inclement weather. The contest is scheduled to be made up on Saturday in a 7 p.m. start at Jimmy White Field at Kelleytown Park.The 17ers are scheduled to travel to Cheraw tonight in a 7 p.m. game, but that contest could be in jeopardy given the rainy weather forecast for the area.
