It appeared to be the tenth time was the charm for the North Central boys’ basketball team.The hosts Knights won the 10th annual Ahlstrom Nonwovens/MPCU Carolina Classic with a 49-45 victory over Cheraw in Friday night’s championship game. It marked the first time that NC won its own tournament crown.Junior forward Jeremy Fowler led the Knights (7-4) with 12 points, giving him 37 for the two-night event. Justin Black and Kawan Hough added 11 points each for the champions.
