Getting a combined 39 points from three players in double figure, the Lugoff-Elgin girls’ basketball team avenged a season-opening loss to Lancaster with a 58-50 victory over the hosts Lady Bruins in a Wednesday night non-region contest. The victory was the second in a row for Von Duncan’s team, which hosts rival Camden tonight in a 6 p.m. contest. Junior Aneka Dixon led L-E (2-1) with 20 points followed by senior Caressa Samuel with 15 and sophomore Dahiana Rodriguez with 14.
