Having received their share of being beaten up under the boards in their pre-season scrimmages, the Camden girls’ basketball team used Tuesday’s season opener at North Central to dish out some of its own brand of aggression. Facing a host team which is built around three freshmen and a sophomore joining senior starter Caroline Dixon, the Lady Bulldogs crashed the boards, played in your face defense and had more than enough offense to come out of The Castle with a 70-48 victory. While her team is still itself young, CHS head coach Natalie Jeffcoat’s troops have had enough experience in tough situations to help get them though this non-region affair.
