On a night in which Lugoff-Elgin was without its leading scorer for the entire night, North Central head coach Mitch Lowder wondered where his team, which played so well in the first half, went for the final two quarters.Lowder watched as his Lady Knights jumped to a 19-14 halftime lead, only to see an L-E squad, which was without the injured Dahiana Rodriguez, storm back for a 38-27 victory in the lone meeting of the season between the two in-county rivals. As he emerged from a post-game meeting with his team, Lowder was nearly dumbfounded as to what happened in the second 16 minutes of play, in which his team was held to eight points, with six of those coming in the game’s final six minutes.“In the first half, we were playing aggressive and playing good defense,” Lowder said. “We were beating their press, even though they weren’t pressing us a lot. “In the second half, I thought, we looked like a different team.
