In an emotionally charged setting in which both teams were trying to find something out about themselves, Lugoff-Elgin shook off a second set loss to defeat visiting cross-river rival Camden in four sets before a raucous Thursday night crowd gathered inside the Demons Den. The host Lady Demons, who opened the season with four straight setbacks, won their third straight match in taking down Paige Wilson’s charges, 28-26, 19-25, 25-21 and 25-13. With returning Region 6-4A player of the year, setter/hitter Sarah Turner, expected to be sidelined for most, if not all the season, the Lady Demons are finding their way through their schedule which shifts into Region 4-5A mode this week.
