Holliday ready to make transition from player to broadcaster

When he reached the age of 30, Vonnie Holliday began terming himself as a dinosaur in the young man’s world which is the National Football League.In a league in which the career of the average player is, according to NFL Players Association Executive Director DeMaurice Smith, 3.2 years, the soon-to-be 37-year-old Holliday has bucked and rebuffed those odds. Last month, Holliday signed a free agent contract when he re-upped for his second season as a member of the Arizona Cardinals. It will be his 15th and final football campaign.Holliday told campers at the Vonnie Holliday/Little Bulldog Football Camp in Camden that 2013 will indeed be the end of the road for him as an active player.
