With their slim state playoff chances hanging tenuously in the balance, Kershaw County Post 17 picked the wrong team with which to finish out the League IV regular season.Facing visiting Lexington on Friday night at sun-scorched American Legion Park, the hosts saw their post-season hopes put to rest in a 21-7 loss to a veteran Post 7 unit in a game stooped after eight innings by the 10-run rule. The contest was the first of a three-game closing set with Lexington. Tonight, the two sides meet in Lexington before returning to Camden on Tuesday for the League IV finale.The loss dropped the 17ers to 3-11 on the season.
