Since last Tuesday’s scheduled scrimmage with Hartsville and Lower Richland was cancelled by that day’s storm, Lugoff-Elgin entered Friday’s 39th annual Camden Shrine Club Football Jamboree with one scrimmage under its belt. So, for interim L-E head coach Dave Thomas and his crew, this was hardly your feel good, let’s get everybody in the game sort of pairing against AAA power A.C. Flora. While the Falcons stopped L-E, 35-14, the final score was not as important as was getting more reps for his team, Thomas said after the contest.“We lost a scrimmage on Tuesday,” he said, “so it’s really only our second time out against somebody else. “We have a lot of work to do in the secondary on defense but offensively, we moved the ball. I think we found some guys who can help us move the football.
