Shortly before she got loose for what was a game-winning layin, Kirsten Baker sat on the Lugoff-Elgin bench with an ice bag atop her head following a spill after being fouled with 1:41 left in Tuesday’s game against visiting Richland Northeast. With Baker nursing her injury, Nakiesha Counts was sent to the free throw line in Baker’s place. But it would be RNE which had a headache after Baker was left wide-open down the floor with less than five seconds left, following a made RNE free throw which evened things at 53.
