When you have a team which is so young that they almost need to have signed parental permission slips in order to take a bus ride to an away game, you look for little victories in each game.Given that approach, Lugoff-Elgin girls’ basketball coach Von Duncan saw several positives in her team’s play in Friday’s 70-22 loss to a more experienced and much taller Blythewood outfit in a game played at the Demons Den.The loss dropped the Lady Demons to 0-3 in Region 4-4A action. But the quality of play was another step up from the previous Friday night when L-E lost to state power Spring Valley in the conference opener.“We looked a lot better tonight than we did against Spring Valley,” Duncan said. “We came out tonight and our motive was to play good defense.
