CHAPIN --- Long after the mat had been rolled up and the Chapin celebration had subsided, members of the Lugoff-Elgin wrestling team emerged from their locker room in the bowels of the Chapin High gym accompanied by head coach Ted Monroe. There was nary a tear on the face of the Demon wrestlers following Wednesday’s 39-37 loss to the host Eagles in the 4A Lower State title match. And when it came time for the second-year L-E boss to talk about the bitter defeat there was not an excuse uttered.
