After having broken a Lugoff-Elgin baseball team jinx at Blythewood, the current edition of the Demons have set their sights on working to get a first round 4A state playoff home game come next Thursday. With the post-season beckoning, L-E’s 8-5 win over Blythewood last Friday night gave Randy Stokes’ squad a 5-3 record in Region 4-4A play. That places the Demons two games behind league-leading Dutch Fork, which hosts the Demons in Friday’s scheduled regular season finale, and just a game behind Blythewood.
