At this time of year, when teams are jockeying for playoff spots, when you win a game like this you take it and just move on. That was the way Lugoff-Elgin baseball coach Randy Stokes looked at his team’s 5-2 victory over visiting Ridge View on Tuesday at Optimist Field. The Demons broke a 1-1 stalemate by scoring four times in the bottom of the sixth to improve to 11-4 overall and, more importantly, hang onto third place in Region 4-4A with a 3-2 record after the first go-through of conference play.
