Using an altered batting order, Lugoff-Elgin scored 10 runs and, more importantly, collected its first Region 4-4A win of the season in a 10-3 victory over host Irmo last Friday night. The win gave the Demons a 1-3 league mark and a 3-8 overall record.Senior lefty Taylor Lunsford went the first 4.1 innings to record his third win in four decisions while junior Zac Bowers came on in the fifth and went the rest of the way for his second save of the season.Lunsford allowed four hits while fanning six batters in his stint while Bowers did not surrender a base hit while fanning four in a relief role.“We scored some runs, which is good,” said L-E head coach Randy Stokes. “The key for us has been our pitching. Our pitchers have done a great job of keeping us in the game.“Our problem has been that one night, we can’t field it and the next night, we can’t hit it.
