Demons run past Sumter to win 6-4A title
Zach Salmond
L-E WIDE RECEIVER Zach Salmond helped put the finishing touches on the Demons' Region 6 title with his 47-yard touchdown catch.
SUMTER – “It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish" That was the final quote from Lugoff-Elgin head coach Scott Jones after his team defeated Sumter to end the regular season on Friday night at Memorial Stadium, 41-32. And, with this being L-E’s first year in the 4A ranks, the championship makes it all sweeter for Jones and company.
