Jones prepared to take next step in football journey at North Greenville
LUGOFF-ELGINS DAKOTA JONES signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and football-playing pursuits at North Greenville University while flanked by his parents, Keith and Consuela Jones. Looking on from behind, from left, are L-E assistant coach Tommy Hill, L-E interim athletic director Craig Marlow and Dave Thomas, who was the Demons interim head football coach for the 2014 season.
Dakota Jones was asked to step out of his comfort zone in Lugoff-Elgin’s defensive scheme last fall. Jones, who had played linebacker for the majority of his career as a Demon, was moved to end, at times. The transition was a seamless one as the six-foot, 205-pound senior more than doubled the number of tackles which he made the previous year.
