Getting a combined no-hitter from sophomore Brock Robinson and eighth-grader Bradwin Salmond, Lugoff-Elgin breezed to a 12-0 win over an outmanned Crestwood squad in a Wednesday night game played at Optimist Field. The non-conference victory gave Randy Stokes’ charges a 5-2 overall mark and a season sweep of the Knights.Robinson worked the first 4.2 innings of a game stopped after four and a half frames by the 10-run mercy rule. The right-hander struck out 12 batters and walked a pair. Salmond, also a righty, recorded the final out of the game with a strikeout. This pitching effort was all about Robinson, however, who did exactly what he was asked to do on the mound.“This was a good outing for Brock,” Stokes said.
