L-E golfers trip up Sumter

In a match which was played in the rain, wind and sun while, all the while, being cold, the Lugoff-Elgin golf team avenged its lone loss of the season by defeating Sumter, 154-165, at Camden Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.The win gave Mike Robinson’s squad a 5-1 record in dual match play.Trevor Johnston led the Demons with a 1-over par 36. Kelli Murphy was next for the winners with a 38 while Jake Barker posted a 39. Ty Morgan, Brandon Hill and Chandler Waters rounded out the scoring shooting 41, 42 and 45, respectively.
