L-E looks forward to challenge presented by Vikings
DEONTAE HUDSON ... L-E defensive back
With all that has been written and/or said about Spring Valley and its prolific offense this season, you might have thought that Lugoff-Elgin head football coach Scott Jones would have a pile of “Please excuse from practice” letters on his desk.Given the fact that the visiting Vikings will bring a 9-0 record into Lugoff-Elgin Stadium tonight to meet Jones and his young group of Demons, the above scenario may have been expected. That, however, has been far from the case. When the Demons came to practice on Monday, there was no moping around and, enthusiasm was as high as it had been all season in preparation for this visit from Miles Aldridge and his squad. It was a sight which, Jones said, brought a smile to his face.“Our kids are (fired up.) They really are,” Jones said of his team’s morale in the next-to-last week of the season.
