L-E netters take down Bengals

In a match which the Lugoff-Elgin tennis team needed to win in order to keep their post-season chances alive, it is nice to have someone like Hunter Horton anchoring the top of the lineup as well as also coming in to play a key role when the pairing is on the line. Horton, a Coker College signee, got the Demons off to a good start in first singles and then paired with Spencer Hinton for a victory at first doubles as L-E edged host Blythewood, 4-3, last Thursday. The victory gave Edward Rickwood’s squad a 3-4 record in Region 4-4A play while avenging an earlier loss suffered at the hands of the Bengals.
