Coming out of what may have been her worst inning of the season, Lugoff-Elgin pitcher Erin Blizzard told her head coach, James Marlow, that she would make up for it in the seventh inning of Thursday’s first round playoff game with visiting Woodmont. Blizzard lived up to her words in getting out of the seventh unscathed. But it took a two-out wild pitch from her opposite number, the Wildcats’ Abigail Duncan, in the bottom of the seventh which allowed a sliding Taylor Sinay to score the winning run in the Lady Demons’ 4-3 victory.
