Lady Demons no match for Dutch Fork
Tree
L-E FORWARD CADY MURPHY (24) recoils after having battled Dutch Forks Shelby Curtis for a rebound in action from Tuesday nights game.
Save for the use of a magic wand, there was no way for Lugoff-Elgin girls’ basketball coach Von Duncan to turn her 5-foot-8 center, Nakeisha Counts, into a 6-foot-5 post player. Nor was there some potion which could transform her other players to become taller or faster with one sip of the elixir.Had those been at Duncan’s disposal, rest assured, she would have used them on Tuesday night against visiting Dutch Fork. The third-ranked Silver Foxes came into the Demons Den the taller and better team and left the gym leaving no question as to those facts as they upended Duncan and company, 90-23, in a Region 4-4A contest. The loss dropped the Lady Demons to 3-7 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
