Bailey Douglas belted her 15th home run of the season as the Lugoff-Elgin softball team closed out a perfect 8-0 season in Region 4-5A play with a  10-o win over visiting Blythewood Wednesday night.

 In addition to blast off the bat of the Coker College signee Douglas, North Greenville University-bound Kaley Goerlich went 4-for-4 in the rout. Both Aubrey Rabon and Emma Spradley went 3-for-3 at the plate.

Lady Bulldogs rout Keenan: The Camden softball team scored 14 first inning runs and tacked on nine more in the second to defeat visiting Kennan, 23-1, in Wednesday’s Senior Night contest.

Maddie McNeill and Charlee Mullins had three-hit nights for the Lady Bulldogs while Brynn Dalton, Chanell Rose and Tatianna Rose had two-hit nights.

Jolie Clyburn was the winning pitcher in a gamne stopped after two innings.

CHS boys’ soccer falls in OT: Chester broke a 3-3 tie with an overtime goal in a 4-3 win over visiting Camden in a Region 4-AAA boys’ soccer game played Wednesday night.

The loss came in spite of the three-goal night recorded by Camden freshman forward Van Blank.

The loss left Jerry Jones’ squad with a 3-3 record in conference play.

Lady Bulldogs tripped up by Indian Land: Indian Land made its 2-0 halftime lead stand up in a 3-1 win over host Camden in a girls’ junior varsity soccer match played Wednesday night at Zemp Stadium.

Clark Joseph’s Lady Bulldogs chopped the deficit in half at 2-1 with a goal from Paige Cook.
