Using nearly the same recipe as it did in Tuesday’s 10-0 win over Sumter, the Lugoff-Elgin softball team took the two-game series from their Region 4-5A rivals with a 13-2 road victory Thursday night.
For the second time in as many games, Bailey Douglas and Hailey Mock both went yard for first-year Lady Demon head coach Savannah Starling’s squad with their second home runs of the season.
Douglas also went the distance on the mound, allowing two runs while fanning four in seven innings of work. The Coker College signee had two doubles to go along with her home run while driving in five runs on a 3-for-5 night at the plate.
Mock went 3-for-4 with a double with two RBI while Caitlyn Curry had a triple, two singles with a stolen base in five trips to the plate.
